My husband, Allen, and I support Reid's Livery and Winery have the libety of selling wines on Sundays. Many wineries are visited while people are traveling to other locations. Many times travelers travel on the weekends. I think having another day of sales and people traveling our area would only support our local economy--AND Kentucky!! Please support this effort by a local small farm based business!!
Thank you

Please vote to allow small farm wineries to sell bottles of wine on Sunday. This brings in tourist dollars to the area. The people coming to see the winery will probably stay in the area longer and spend more money here, instead of going down to Tennessee.

This should not have been a big deal. It is about a small farmer trying to make an honest living. What's disturbing is the way the magistrates have handled this by ignoring them and hoping they would go away.

I am totally for the Sunday sales of wine in Warren County! Bowling Green would benefit greatly if Sunday sales were approved. Most tourists are traveling on the weekends from all over and would be greatly interested in visiting local wineries. We've had several calls from people out of state wondering if we're open on Sunday. Right now we are only a vineyard. We are working towards getting our wine license. So we are greatly interested in seeing this pass!

I think allowing these small farm wineries to remain open and sale on Sundays is great for our community. Most of us, like myself, work M-F and the weekend is the only time I can get to local businesses. I think you are doing a diservice to the community and the local economy by not allowing sales on Sunday.

I Believe in God and Church yet I also, like so many other people travel to and from vacations on Sundays and would love to stop,at a winery to break up the trip! Not to mention having a place to bring friends and family from out of state to share the wealth of what Bowling Green has to offer..The winery's would play a big part in that being able to not only for a wine tasting but to be able to purchase wines to take home on a Sunday.

Continued economic grrowth is essential for Kentucky. Sunday wine sales to my knowledge have not impeded any religious avtivities, BUT have generally increased sales by wineries by 25 to 30%.
This would be an important move for your local economy.

This past weekend I came over from South Jersey to visit my daughter who attends WKU. We thought it would be nice to visit a local winery to buy a local bottle to take back to South Jersey.
I was disappointed to find out that I could not buy a local wine close by due to the established "blue law". I would have had to travel a little further than I wanted to, and I just did not have the time in which to do this.
So yes, I am in support of this petition. Please think about reviewing your decsion and realize what it could do to the economy in your county and state.
Respectfully,
Rebecca New

This successful small business should be allowed to sell wine on Sundays. I'm very disappointed in our elected officials' narrow- mindedness and lack of any real reason for declining the Reids their request. We should support our small businesses. They are very important to our community. The elected officials need to come up with a better response than "it's not in the best interest of Warren County." I am a tax-paying citizen of Warren County and it IS in our best interest not to hinder successful, growing businesses.

PEOPLE TRAVEL MORE ON THE WEEKEND RATHER THAN THROUGH THE WEEK. A NICE DRIVE THROUGH THE COUNTRY TO STOP AT A WINERY IS ALWAYS A NICE BREAK TO RELAX AND ENJOY THE SCENERY. I HAVE TRAVELED TO SEVERAL DIFFERENT WINERIES THROUGHOUT THE UNITED STATES AND MAJORITY OF THESE TRIPS WERE DONE ON A SATURDAY & SUNDAY!

I strongly support approval of the petition. I believe it would draw additional tourist traffic through the county that would result in increased secondary spending into the local economy as Sunday tourists also patronized restaurants, gas stations, and other local tourist attractions.

We support local businesses especially small businesses. The sale of wine on Sunday would benefit everyone. Many other counties in Kentucky allow the sale of wine on Sundays from local vineyards. Sundays are huge for the tourist industry in this area. Even local restaurants and bars serve liquor on Sunday from midnight til 2am!
